I don't think it is that exciting tbh. Hollande has asked the PM, Valls, to form a new government. This is mainly to get rid of Montebourg who wants an end to austerity, plus three or four ministers who support his views. It is more like a mega re-shuffle of the cabinet than a revolution. I think it is only about 160 days since Valls took over from the last PM.
The right of course is in utter disarray, so I expect it will all muddle along for a bit longer.
The pound has gone up a cent against the euro today.
