We've just been watching this on the News. Good for him.
The family will be living on the Sandringham Estate which is a long way from Cambridge Airport so I wonder whether he'll commute or stay in Cambridge when he's on duty.

I'm glad that his training as a helicopter pilot will continue to be of use and it's a 'proper' job.
My daughter has completed her aero-medical training and recently got her 'wings' as a Life Flight specialist in Auckland NZ so I have some understanding of the training he'll need and what the job involves. Not for the squeamish - even as a pilot.
