Thanks for all the comments. Since I started this thread, I have read the book Hormone Intelligence and am following the advice in that regarding tweaks to diet and supplements. It has made a difference, which may of course be a placebo but I'll take that! Ashwaganda, a good multivitamin and fish oil.
I'm not as lively as I was 20 years ago, but definitely better than when I first posted.
