Are there any Gransnetters in Spain? I would be very pleased to talk to anyone about what it is like living outside your culture, and possibly meet, though I am not on any of the Costas, but in central Spain.

Hello Celia, I'm afraid I can't help you on the Spain question but am bumping your thread to top of actives in case anyone who can missed it. One of my DIL is from Canada, and while I know that's not too culturally different from the UK, I've spoken to her quite a bit about how she found the transition. Obviously language no barrier but it's little things like popular culture and a different sense of humour that took a bit of time for her.
