Edinburgh Zoo, Sept 7 8 9 10 or 11

Most of this is junk or discarded stuff that is lying around the house (think pre-school playgroup activities) However, there is also an Amazon wishlist if you feel like spending money . . .

Oh darn it; have got loads of stuff on that list but have limited space in the car when we travel up. Next time, perhaps.

I'm at Holiday Inn for night of 12th-13th so wouldn't make Zoo but could maybe manage coffee if anyone is around?

Yes, down visiting family.

I could possibly push the date out to 12th but am travelling back early the next morning and will probably need that day to pack the car and clean the flat .

I can certainly meet you for coffee in the Holiday Inn - can walk there!

This might be possible, the train isn't too expensive if we can fix a day. I can do any of the dates you suggest. I do enjoy a day at the zoo.

Yes, I have been before. I've been three times, the first time I was on a Sunday School outing! The last time we were there, my children were quite young, so it must be 20 years or more. Goodness how time flies. I like Edinburgh, my DH and I were there last year at the Military Tattoo.

Could we do the 10th? [just in case the S.O. gets a booking for the 12th and we have to leave a day earlier [sorry to be awkward!].

Oh. Howl of disappointment! Cant do 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th. Unbelievable! It just would be that week. Drat and double drat.
Could do 12th/13th for coffee at the Holiday Inn with Elegran and Katek though. [hopeful emoticon]!

There's a beautiful black panther there Jane...Mind you; if we do travel back on the Sunday I could possibly get a train up on the Saturday, as it won't take up as much of the day as the zoo will and if you're meeting up anyway I won't feel guilty if I can't make it#thepossibilitiesareendless is bintheredunit around I wonder?

I know that panther well: DGC was very impressed when he seemed to come specifically to speak to me. He pressed his nose against the glass and stared right into my eyes. Saying "get me out of here?". Poor puss. A fluke but a nice one. I live near the Holiday Inn too.....

Bagheera was my favourite animal in The Jungle Book [the Korda version not the Disney one].

How is everyone else with the 10th?

Jane - If you want to, I could stand going again on the Sunday? We could join Katek for coffee too if we time it right. Unless *Katek aould rather join us tramping round the zoo? (Oooo me poor feet)

To save your poor feet I'd be quite happy to just do the coffee with Katek!
