A bold attempt at a fraud

Ive several times has one saying "this is your bank". Really? Your bank?

Does anyone bank with Your Bank?

I'm with Chestnut. I assume every unknown caller is a scam or a cold caller.
I don't know how they slip through the net anyway. They are usually on the landline which I keep for the older generation who don't know my mobile number.
I almost fell for a scam on here, on gransnet. It was an advert for a quiz and you had to answer some easy questions and then claim a prize. I was lured into it for ages before the penny dropped - they needed my details......

Years ago I had a phone call and the caller said he was from my M&S credit card. He then asked me to give him my security details so I said 'no'.

I was busy getting ready to go on holiday so didn't do anything else about it. I got to the duty free, gave them my credit card and it had been stopped. Oops!

I'm sure they handle things better now.

Just assume everything is a scam. As soon as I hear a recorded voice or a call centre I just hang up. I don't need anyone telling me anything because I have internet banking and can check my account myself. There are so many scammers around now I don't trust anyone!

I had a similar call to my mobile saying there were two unexpected amounts taken from my account that day. Told her I'd call her back. Checked my account, no unexpected payments. Tried the number, out of curiosity it didn't connect, no ring tone or anything
