Transport for Greater Manchester is offering a concessionary travel pass to WASPI women from the date that we would have received our pension before the rules changed in 2011.
So for instance, before the changes in 2011 I would have received my State Pension when I was 64 and 9 months.
I now have to wait until 66 for my pension but I can have a concessionary pass when I am 64 and 9 months.
You need to go to the TFGM website and click on the link to "Tickets and Passes" then scroll down the page to
"Women’s Concessionary Travel Scheme Pass"
I am sorry I don't know how to add a direct link.
The pass seems to cost £10 but then there is free travel on the buses and the tram. So will easily pay for itself.
What did you you think you would have by your current age that you don't?
