That sounds intriguing, Worthit....if it's out of sight and hearing of others, how do you hear and see it (whatever it is )? You could try logging the incidents, just writing them down as they happen.

If what he is doing is actually legal, then not sure what you could do even then.

But if it's calculated to cause you a nuisance, then you could see if your community policeman could give advice on what to do.Deliberately being a nuisance could be seen as harrassment.

My next door neighbour's daughter films the birds and foxes etc that come into their garden - their camera is in a back bedroom but also captures most of my garden too - could this be a solution for you to try? They didn't tell me about the camera for ages until they spotted someone using my garden as a cut through to the footpath!

What is he doing that's anti-social?

How come no one else sees or hears him? Do you live somewhere isolated?

Although you can't film whatever he's doing in his garden, you can record any noise.

I don't know if this counts as anti social behaviour, but wanted to share it for a giggle, just to show that life can provide the occasional chuckle
I was walking Grace the other night before bedtime and she stopped to do what a dog has got to do behind a house round the corner from us. The owner is a man in his late 50's/maybe 60's, divorced but seems to have a succession of rather younger lady friends, the latest is E European and I would guess in her 20's. He must have hidden depths as he's no oil painting, but a nice enough chap. As I said Grace had stopped on the road behind their back garden underneath an open bedroom window. . . . .

When I watch those TV property programmes I sometimes wonder what the neighbours think of the marvellous bathrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and no blinds or curtains. Some of them look out onto deep woods - all the world and his dog could be in among those trees.

re anti-social behaviour, I'm not sure what can actually be achieved by complaining to the relevant authorities. My daughter moved into a flat in North London where in due course a nightclub opened across the road. She could not sleep, the noise was unbearable, and the bus-stop that the drunken clubbers used as a loo waited at was below her bedroom window. She did all the right things, recorded, reported and then would tell me that "I now have the nightclub racket, plus the noise monitoring people from the local authority arrived at 1 a.m. and stayed for hours". This went on for months and nothing happened. She moved somewhere else.

Her and her husband have just taken occupation of their long-awaited first home together, and the neighbour next door constantly swears loudly at his children and his wife. So - what would you do about that? My SIL won't do anything about it e.g. "having a word" because he is too scared - he has been attacked by some thugs once before (they took his phone) and ended up in hospital with concussion.

We used to have a neighbour who tootled down the garden with just a short dressing gown flapping open and completely starkers underneath. I think he thought the garden walls hid him but he never looked up, I was in a top floor flat with a view over all the gardens
