And found out that my current one had a nighttime cheap rate that I had no idea about. Being a night owl I would have been doing all of my washing drying cooking etc in the early hours. I’m sure they didn’t explain it to me two years ago when I switched to it. And I’ve been watching all those tv adverts with Albert Einstein on wishing I had a cheap rate time. At least I know when my new cheap rate is going to be. Having said that it’s gone up by over thirty pounds a month. I dread to think how much some people are having to pay for energy sad.

Got a message as mine is due for renewal very soon. Himself liked the ethos of the one we are with plus it has a donation to cancer tie in which because of his diagnosis was very close to his heart

The decision was mine and I decided to sign up for a two year deal. Sadly because I’m now on my own I use less electricity anyway and so my monthly payments have actually decreased by £30 a month.

I always feel dissatisfied when I’ve done mine. Like buying a car or booking a flight I always feel I could have done better!
At least once you’ve done it you can put it in a box at the back of your mind until the next time.

I’ve stuck with my current supplier for another year. They have ‘suggested’ I pay an extra £5, but with £749 in credit, that’s a ‘no’ from me! Out of interest, I’m currently paying £150 a month, dual fuel.

Mine will be, I think, £125 pm. I do feel the cold though and must stop turning the heating up and then leaving it on. I put the dishwasher on at cheap time in the night. But the kitchen misted up for some reason so I put the dehumidifier on then fell asleep and left it on for hours.

My renewal came up back in May (I think - give or take a month).
It was at a point where it looked like there might be an improvement in supplies/prices, so I was unsure what to do.

Anyway, I decided to play safe, and signed up with the same supplier for another two years on a tariff that wasn't much more than we had already been paying.
I also had the reassurance that if prices did drop over that time, and my supplier introduced cheaper deals, I would be able to change to one of those deals without any penalty.

The way things have gone since then, I am very happy / relieved with the decision I made, and was lucky that my contract was due for renewal at that particular time.
