Is it possible to get multiple household repairs done
by a handyman in a single visit?

Around where I live there are quite a number of handy men who will do all kinds of them and I have used several of them.

I got someone in to fit blinds and curtain poles. He also did lot o f other mall jobs at the same time.

I employed a local handyman to do a variety of tasks in one visit. He re-hung a wall cupboard in my lounge after the new wallpaper had dried out. Moved mirrors around between bedrooms and fixed a huge one in my downstairs loo, after putting a fancy new tap on a vanity basin and he then installed a new mixer tap and water filter on my kitchen sink.

It’s a couple of years ago now, but he charged £40 an hour. I have no-one else to ask who is ‘handy’ (both SinLs are useless) so I didn’t begrudge the cost.

Yes, I know of one, who is the husband of a friend. He can turn his hand to most jobs and is very thorough and takes great pride in his work. I would only ask someone who has been recommended to you, though. Also, ensure that you have identified all the work you would like done, rather than finding more jobs after he’s quoted/completed the original work.
