Freezer

I spent Friday defrosting freezer which was thick with ice, took everything out and thought I had made a through job. Look on Saturday and ice was back especially on the inside ‘roof’ of it. I had another go, but do people think I should just replace the freezer. It is a small under counter one and jammed packed full of stuff. I’m worried it will spoil the food as well as being a nuisance. First world problem I know!

I would get a self-defrosting one.

It might be that the door isn't fully closed, especially if it is packed full.
Just the slightest thing that breaks the seal results in ice forming.
It might be worth giving it another chance before buying another.

I agree buy a self defrosting one . Sounds like you could go with a larger one - if you have the room .

Even self defrosting ones occasionally need defrosting. 😉

I agree. Buy a frost free one. I have a tall one at least 6ft and matching 6ft fridge. Both Hotpoint and had them about 9 years. No problems with either of them.

Possibly the seal around the door has gone. If it is old, just replace it, if you can afford it.

Get the new one ordered and delivered, immediately plug in somewhere to do preliminary feeze, then empty freezer, move old freezer out and new freezer and load it.
