We have started our main livingroom .. which includes our fireplace.

Apparently my husband wanted a gorgeous stag, doe and fawn, covered in white lights. They were delivered to the garden today and set up. Very lovely - look as if they belong right here, sparkling!

Put the lights up out the front - just lots of twinkling starry lights through the hedge and trees. It's quite mesmerizing watching them fading in and out. Like a starry, starry night right outside the window.

We noticed this morning that a reindeer that is up on someone's roof had lost his head in the recent winds. Quite sad, I should imagine it was a bit of work getting it up there.

At last, got all the Christmassy bits up and the house looks festive and cosy.We don’t put anything outside as it would get nicked in about five seconds.

Ours don't go up earlier than the 18th, down before Twelfth Night. But it's lovely to look at other people's.

We have bought a (pot grown) Christmas tree but it will stay in the garden until next Monday.

Ps the dog looks very cosy on his cushion 🙂

Edmond the French Bull is my younger twin daughter´s canine. Yes, he is truly a Gentleman with exceptional manners.

And my older twin daughter brought Pierre, the year old Dalmation .. And we have 2 Birman kit kats !

All going extraordinarily well ..
