Traditional tiles or upvc cladding

I don't know what it means in a bathroom context - do you have a pic or a link to an example?

We have cladding on the bathroom ceiling. It looks much better than the previous plaster.

However, I'm not sure about having it on the walls. I saw a friend's bathroom done with it and thought it was a bit like being in a plastic box.

We put very large tiles on our bathroom walls, so there is less grouting.

A compromise might be cladding in the shower/around the bath where most splashing occurs and toning tiles for the rest of the room.

I have cladding in the bathroom, on ceiling and walls. We chose a design and colour that had enough texture not to feel too much like living in a Tupperware box. It's very easy to keep clean and was easy to install.

We chose Porcelain Tiles in a Natural stone colour, and used a matching dark Beige grout, as opposed to the Traditional white or lighter shades that are prone to staining. The clading is something they have been using in the Leisure industry for Mobile homes, Caravans and Campervans for some time, but from experiance, they are not as Scrubable, and resistant to cleaning products, Hair dye, or brightly coloured Toiletries as the smooth surface Porcelain is, which in turn is better wearing than tiles made from Terracotta Clay. Its also possible to get Grout sealed from new, which helps prevent any growth of Mildew.

If so it is wonderful.

We’ve just installed some sheets of the panelling in our bathroom, the old tiles started throwing themselves into the bath.
As we still can’t get a bathroom fitter to come and sort a new bathroom out for us it’s a good temporary solution and doesn’t look too bad, it does feel very firm, not at all plasticky.
