Steam mops

Yes I have one and am very happy with it. All the ground floor of my house is tiled and I have three dogs and a cat so you can imagine. I can't kneel to do my floors as I have arthritis so the steamer is great. I don't use it daily as prep is a bit of a faff. It does a thorough job and the floors come up well. You can use as little or as much water as you want. I haven't tried it on laminate though.

I have one, and sorry to say that I rarely use it. I prefer the good old mop and bucket.

I think I am on my third one now - I think I must be a jinx on them. I'm not overly happy with them and have returned to washing floors on hands and knees. I have used them on the laminate floors though, with no adverse effects. I was thinking about asking for recommendations on brands. I currently have a Vax but I've never been really satisfied with it.

We love ours, use it on laminate floors no problems and even run it over high wear areas of carpet to refresh. It's easy to use and one of those gadgets that we do put to use.

I've got a Vax one and am happy with it - my cleaner won't use it though preferring a mop and bucket. I can't believe you do it on your hands and knees nonnaw

My neighbours one is a shark. Hers doesn't seem to leak at all, and the floors dry so quickly, I couldn't see it being a problem on my laminate
I'm wondering though, if I would bother getting it out and setting it up.

They don't take any setting up really. I only need to refill mine very 4 or 5 times.

I was told by the fitter not to use a steamer on the laminate but to use bono mop
The mop uses a solution that cleans but dries very quickly.

I also have a redundant steam cleaner

oh! I used the steam cleaner on the laminate yesterday, it hasn't lifted yet

I use an E cloth mop from John Lewis on my laminate floors quick and easy gets into all the corners.

Thanks Maggymay I have had a look online - I had a Addis mop which was similar but it broke and I haven't been able to find another one.

I did find the steam cleaner left the ceramic floors rather wet but the laminate ones seemed fine.
