I would I have been this height since I was 16/17.

Norah Mon 20-Jul-26 11:55:20

I was my adult height at 16, my new, much shorter height at 68.

I seemed to keep creeping up in height till I was about 20 - although biologically our bones fuse by 16.

About 14

Cossy Mon 20-Jul-26 12:39:09

About 15! I started off quite tall at around 11, then everyone caught up and overtook me.

I was 5ft 3”, but now am 5ft 2”!

I’m finding this barrage of questions intrusive so scrolling on by.

No idea 😀

I reached my max height at about 11 and towered over my peers. They gradually caught up. I am now losing height.

Harmless questions.

Yes

It’s ok, it’s not compulsory to answer, nor to tell us all you’re not answering 🤣

However, I think if it’s a poster we’ve seen before, it’s probably quite harmless.

About 14... But I'm shrinking now 😅

I have no problem with (but no interest in) questions like this - but I always wonder why people want to know something quite obscure and what they then make of the info gathered?

JaneJudge Mon 20-Jul-26 13:33:08

I have no idea either
I know I was very tall at primary school but can’t remember when all the smaller girls caught up

nanna8 Mon 20-Jul-26 13:33:51

It was 11 and the tallest in my.class. I have a very old pic of my school mates to prove it, very proud of it now ! The following year just average height. Geez some folks are a bit paranoid - I guess they must have had some awful experiences in life. Or they live in London , I always think Londoners don’t trust anyone and I should know.

I don’t (now) live in London and I’m not paranoid. No awful experiences in life (so far!). It simply seems to me an odd thing to chat about.

Do we now have to post when we're scrolling on by? confused (checks GN rules 😁)

In reply to the OP - crikey, who remembers this level of detail?!

BlueBelle Mon 20-Jul-26 14:58:40

No idea but before I was 21 🤣🤣🤣
Now on the way down 🤣🤣🤣

Greenfinch Mon 20-Jul-26 15:47:46

I don’t know how anyone would know the answer to this question unless they kept measuring themselves. I’m sure I haven’t a clue myself.

Charleygirl5 Mon 20-Jul-26 16:06:01

Why? It is inane.

AuntieE Mon 20-Jul-26 16:55:44

It used to be said that women do not grow more than half-an-inch after their menarche.

So, I was my present height at 13.

Redrobin51 Mon 20-Jul-26 20:36:45

I was about 16

I was the tallest girl in my Primary School at the age of 11 and 5'6". I haven't grown a lot over the years but since reaching my 60's I started to shrink. Now at 78 I am 5'2".

AmberGran Tue 21-Jul-26 13:21:37

You may not remember exactly but if you were extremely tall or short for your age you would be very aware of it.

I was the tallest in every year I was in, in three different schools. In school photos I am always about half a head taller than the others. For a brief 3 months a girl arrived who was an inch taller than me and we became great friends then suddenly she disappeared. By the time I was about 14 I was 5' 7" and 5' 9" by the time I was 16.

Crumbly159 Tue 21-Jul-26 13:36:46

Mid teens, 5' 1". It's been static for decades but I wish to goodness the top supermarket shelves weren't quite so high, especially in the fruit and veg section.

Yes, Sainsbury I mean you.
