GN still only notifying me from time to time about posts on the thread, so late to the discussion yet again! However, teabagwoman, such is the wealth of experience on here, I’ve nothing to add except perhaps one which, to me, is the most difficult because it’s mental - don’t be an impatient patient. You will not be up and running in a few weeks or even perhaps in two or three months. You will most probably be pain free in your new hip, but your muscles around it & in other parts have taken a real hammering over the time your own hip was deteriorating and they need time to come to terms with their new role in your mobility. Keep up with the exercises and make haste slowly as my old granny used to say.
