Dry Mouth Issue

Thank you everyone for your advice. I am pleased to report that biting my tongue and visualising the lemon at the same time, produced enough saliva. I am grateful for your assistance.

Yes it really works. I was given it as a tip for when I felt anxious and my mouth felt dry e.g. before an interview. It's brilliant. I even do it e.g. when I'm out walking and have forgotten to carry water.

I Tried your suggestion Retread, more out of childish curiosity & immaturity than than any real, desperate need! Yes, by jove, it does actually work. Thank you.
I shall save this tip for when I'm waiting to see the pesky dentist!

Imagine yourself squeezing, then putting a lemon onto a chopping board.

Imagine slicing through the lemon. with the juice leaking out over the board, and your hands, and then cutting off a slice and sucking it.

I don't suppose you have any fresh pineapple to hand?

Gently bite the tip of your tongue between your front teeth and hold, and your mouth will flood with saliva. (A tip given to me years ago, it always works).

Good luck with the DNA test, it's a very interesting exercise.
