Covid injection - reaction ?

Thankyou. I was sitting down at the end of a normal day, when I suddenly became very short of breath.I have COPD so thought it was another flare up starting so took my inhaler which had no effect.Then I became aware of a sudden ache on the right side of my chest radiating into my back.By this time my heart was beating very quickly and my smart watch was alerting me about a raised heart rate. I got my oximeter ( useful when you have COPD) and found my heart rate was 130 and my oxygen levels were 70% ( normal range is 98-100%)
I was alone in the house but as I previously stated my nurse trying and experience told me this was something very serious and I need to get to hospital very quickly.I rang for a taxi as I knew an ambulance would get there too late.In 10 mins I was in A&E and to cut a long story short, was diagnosed with a large bilateral blood clot covering most of my right lung and starting to cover the left one!
I had a heparin injection, was in hospital four days and now on daily blood thinners for the rest of my life.
The doctors were very non comittal about the covid jab being the cause.The only member of staff who made a positive comment was the sister on A&E who told me tha there had been a few patients in with adverse reactions to the jab. I cannot remember which one it was.
I give eternal thanks to God that I am still here now.A pulmonary embolism is one of the largest causes of sudden death. My sister and my son's ex-mother-in-law both died suddenly of this, when they were found they were beyond all help

Let time I had the Covid jab and the flu jab tofu I was very ill. I’ve had the flu jab but won’t be having the Covid because I’ve had Covid 3 times - even after the jab - so what’s the point ?

We both had our flu and COVID jabs a few weeks ago and we both had slightly sore, heavy arms but no other reactions. Like many other grans we’re both very glad to have had them. We both had COVID - I was more poorly than he was, but nothing too serious. Thank goodness the vaccines were available as I’m sure they’ve saved many lives - ditto the flu vaccines.

We have any vaccinations offered. Usually there are no or mild side effects. The covid jab earlier on this year was the first to cause symptoms. OH was wiped out and missed 24hours. No problems with the last boosters last month but we had the flu jab 2 weeks earlier as the surgery had run out of covid jabs.
We have been taking part in the ONS monthly monitoring of Covid , giving a blood sample every month for over a year. the results always came back to say we had high levels of antibodies, so we are very grateful to have the booster jabs offered.

Injections have never bothered me till I had a covid jab. Within a fortnight I had full blown rheumatoid arthritis and I am still in dreadful pain. Probably a coincidence but I was told that the injection may have accelerated the illness that was present but not yet bothering me. I'll never know but I say no to injections now.

My goodness, this is the first time I've read anyone having a reaction the same as me. After the moderna jab I had serious hives - you couldn't put a pin between them. Now it's has developed into bullous pemphigoid and it is not a fun condition at all. Of course, no one will admit that it is a reaction to covid. I wish you well, I truly do. Its a miserable condition😥

I had calf pain after my first jabs - astrazenica, and then got really bad infection something like folliculitis and cellulitis - but 'not like I've ever seen before' according to nurse and later GP. Took strong antibiotics for two weeks to clear up. Have had intermittent leg pain ever since and the hair fell out on half my legs and never grew back. Drs never really decided what was going on. I've done circulation-boosting leg exercises ever since which seem to help a lot. The pain comes back if I have a couple of days off.

The pain in my calf passed off relatively quickly .
Turns out to be muscular .
I've had mid calf pain before .
But it could be a reaction to the vaccine .
Today , I am coughing a bit and my throat is slightly sore .
I planned to garden , but I don't feel like it .

Same as me flower lady and I’m immune suppressed for 17 years ( touchwood) I rely on my vit D exercize and healthy eating! I did catch Covid and yes was unwell but bounced back after 3 weeks

Smart lady. I am 74 and haven't had a single flu or covid shot. I don't like my government telling me what to do and I distrust the pharmaceuticals even more. Big business hand in hand with governments, not good for the people

I’m the same as you fancy that but each to their own of course

I was talking to a pharmacist at my surgery yesterday re: another matter and I said that I had had Covid five weeks ago and was still suffering with the cough and catarrh and should I have the next Covid booster as per my invite. She advised that if I still have the symptoms I have now then maybe avoid it as there were untold side effects with it. I will not have it now

I had a reaction to the RSV vaccination. Heart rate went down to 54 and I felt dizzy and spaced out. Disappeared by the next day

Forgot the 'in' the calf. Over confident with my typing!

Pain the calf does not sound like a reaction to any vaccine. Get it checked out.

I will never ever take anymore vaccines for Covid or flu I touched on this in a previous post, my health has never been the same since getting the initial vaccines
And I get it that age can play a part in your health taking a downward turn but too many friends lots much younger than me and family similar situation health issues after getting them but fair play to those who get them and they believe in them but that will never be me again.

I was going to have covid and flu separately but was persuaded to have both on the same day. Due to lymph nodes removed on left arm, I had the mixed jab for both on right arm. Swelling lasted around 4 days. Two weeks later, I had the most horrendous flu. Still suffering after 7 days and it now looks like it's going down to my chest. I am not sure if I will have those vaccines again next year. Never had a cold for than 3 days. Never felt so rotten before.

Shortly after having the Spikevax last year, my heart rate kept shooting down to 60 then up to 98 as I sat on the sofa. It was worrying. The Dr said that if it didn't settle quickly, to call him again. Might need a and e visit....it settled after a while. However, the Dr reminded me that I'd reacted in a similar way to the vaccine the year before. I won't be having another Covid vaccination....And I reported my reaction on the Yellow Card website - never reported anything there before.

Pain in your calf should always be checked out.

Due to have my Covid booster this afternoon. After reading this thread, am not going to attend.

not had covid, nor flu for many years. had all jabs, little or no reaction had both recently, and then had flu or covid! I couldn`t do test, does it matter nowadays, been told so many virus` about not necessary, still recoving from this virus/flu , whatever! I am elderly and always had good health, so it has hit me hard. just saying.

For goodness sake - STOP having these jabs. There is SO MUCH information on Youtube, credible scientists who have been pushed out of their jobs for speaking up on this. The subject is not being reported on in the 'legacy' media, whistle-blowers are, as always, suffering. Why would anyone think these jabs are 'keeping them safe' when it has, as I understand, been publicly admitted that they do not prevent the infection, and indeed this has been proved in the lives of many people. I am sorry to hear of people's bad reactions, but just because you do not get an immediate reaction does not mean you are, or will be, unaffected. Please consider how much this is benefitting unscrupulous drug companies. And maybe ask why no-one is extolling the virtues and importance of simple Vitamin C and Vitamin D, fresh air, exercise etc. - far more effective.

apparently spikevax is moderna.
i had this two weeks after my flu jab and had no reaction to either apart from a bruise on my left arm where the covid jab went in - never had a bruise from any jab before!

Neither of us will be having the covid vax again due to the adverse reactions we had (reported on the yellow card system). My husband was in ICU in 2020 for covid for nearly a month, and I was also extremely ill with it, so that must say something about our view of the jab!
We had been discussing when to get the flu jab, as we have a lot of things we are needing to do in the next month or so and didn't want to be having any possible adverse reaction effect to the jab to stop us getting those done - and then both caught flu last week anyway and are now getting over it. So looks like that's not needed now!
