Newly qualified dentists

When I was at university I regularly had my teeth looked after by student dentists.

When I started work I used to get my teeth dealt with by students at the Royal Dental School at Leicester Square.

The amount of supervised practice dental students have in training leaves me more than happy to be seen by a newly qualified dentist.

I’ve always thought newly qualified anything was good, they’ve often got the latest ideas and in general are keen to please.

Newly qualified dentists are usually extremely competent, I flat-shared with 2 dental students & they were doing practical work on patients from the second year of their 4.5 year course so with the foundation course (which is more recent) they've actually been building their skills for 4.5 years by the time they have their "first" patient.And they are up with the latest developments too.

Newly qualified dentists have to do a year’s foundation course in an nhs practice to prepare them for working w in practice . In Scotland it’s called a vocational training course . You should be fine , although allow for them running late .

My friends daughter was a dental nurse, then trained hygienist and is now training to be a dentist. She’s mature, bright and is working her way up which I think seems to be a new pAth

I need a partial denture too that needs to go next to existing bridge, also possible root canal

I recently had a crown fitted by a young dentist. I don't know how newly qualified he is but he has only recently joined the practice. He was excellent, both s work, and the way he explained it.

My DH couldn’t find a dentist on his return to the NE. He was lucky to be taken on by our dental hospital and has had lots of work done by trainee dentists, supervised. He’s been very pleased with the results.

We have lots if foundation year dentists at our practice and I've always found them very thorough, also quick to get advice if they're concerned about anything
