Spider veins

I've had these for a long time Rosiebee they do look unsightly but my doctor told me they were not bad enough to warrant treatment. However that was some time ago and things may have changed. Seems its a cosmetic rather than health problem.

I always think it’s worth doing an online search to get an initial idea of new symptoms.

I've noticed the development of some purple spider veins around my ankles and lower legs. I'm 72. Is this just an age thing or is it something I need to be concerned about? I am overweight, but health is good and I swim 3 times a week. I do take blood pressure and Cholesterol tablets. It seems a trivial thing to go to the doctor about, that is if I could get to see a doctor. Thanks
