Thanks downtoearth. Feeling much better and after a days rest have done two more longish walks since Saturday, so my total so far this week is 46,000 steps.
How are you getting on?

Hi SL good to hear blip was temporary,some impressive steps going on there.
Shame I didnt take a leaf from my own book,I over did things monday and tuesday and my leg ballooned and was very achy all day,have taken backward steps and rested all day today,I have ordered one of those cold pack jobbies for my hip,but am much more comfortable tonight.
I am guilty of trying run before I can walk.
Although a few frustrations along the way,I am glad that I havent anyone staying with me,I can have my own agenda not one that suits someone elses
Thankyou for asking SL,hoping all other hipand kneesters are well.
Cant believe day 8 already.

Anyway, an actual hip related post from me.
Ongoing issues with foot and ankle due to leg length discrepancy are still absolutely terrible.
My knee on the longer leg is now giving me gyp too.
I’ve rung around. and there is no one locally here who does orthotics privately.

I have an appointment to see my hip surgeon at the Nuffield a week on Monday to see if he can help 🙏

Sorry about your problems aFanny, hope you can get helpful advice when you see the hip man.
I seem to be putting more oressure on my opposite foot because it has a lot of really hard skin which isn't easy to get rid of , while the skin on the other foot is baby soft.
Will this get to no.1 on Active, ? Who knows, but here we go, and post!

All well,safely tucked up for the night,book,mug of tea and a hotwater bottle,pillows,,and not in pain at this moment bliss,lot to be grateful for.

Morning all hip/kneesters I am craving a really hot refreshing shower.
I Am washing hair over kitchen sink, but the tootsies are being neglected.
An all over strip wash is adequate,but I miss that freshness all over feel.
Staples out next wednesday ,hoping all healed well.

It’s funny that we are so pleased to get acknowledgement of our existence on Active.
Even when we do, it slips down so fast, pouf and we disappear once more. Til next time we hit the jackpot.
