Night sweats but already on HRT? Any ideas?

I’ve been on HRT oestrogen only patch for eight years and although it stopped the hot flushes during the day the night ones persist! However, they are at last decreasing and it is now not every night.

You should have a blood sugar test too, although that's unlikely to be the cause. You'd know about if your blood sugar levels were really dropping.

You really need to see your GP. You can't diagnose yourself. Too much oestrogen can cause a hormone imbalance.

Nannynoodles awful isn't it? Night sweats were the main feature of my menopause and I have to say made worse if I'd had a glass of wine in the evening. The only condition where that is a feature is TB as far as I'm aware but there could be others and I don't suppose you have that. All the usual advice really, cotton pyjamas/nightie, light bedding, warm well ventilated bedroom. I'm not one for supplements but others may have found something beneficial. They certainly are Esspee! I have been trying to avoid the GP as I don’t want to waste their time and they only suggest I come off the HRT (not sure how that would help though!).
Could possibly be anxiety I suppose, I watched the Panorama programme on Mariupol before I went to bed last night and that was just so awful sad.

Just in case the sweats are the result of another medical condition you really should see your doctor.
I've been on oestrogen for over 30 years but still get the odd hot flush and like you I am well with very strong bones and teeth.
Medical advances are wonderful, aren't they.
