Carpal Tunnel

I had it 2 yrs ago, it’s 90% fixed the numbness. I admit it wasn’t a pleasant experience as it was done under local anaesthetic but was quite quick and I went home from hospital after being monitored for a couple of hours.

My brother had his right hand done 2 months ago having the left done on Friday. He said he only needed painkillers for 3 days the wound is from the middle of his palm to his wrist but he has big hands and very tough skin. He had to be careful for 2 weeks and couldn't drive. He said it's just a case of keeping the wound clean. The pain was worse before the operation so he says it's a win.

I had mine done and it gave me instant relief. I would do it again if necessary.
I didn't have sedation, but you can have it if necessary.
The ligament is divided to relieve pressure on the median nerve. It will just get worse without treatment.
Mine was done by a plastic surgeon, I was very fortunate.

Both done about 28 yrs ago instant relief.
Easy procedure, after a cup of tea went home about hour or so later. Done on Day surgery, it's just a local Anaesthetic.
Just needed to be off work a few weeks.
They relief will be amazing.

My husband had the operation for this in both hands a few yrs ago. Day operation. He had difficulty holding a pen before op. Both operations were successful and a complete game hanger. He can now do all the craft and painting he used to do.

I had it done , one hand at a time , I had left it too late and at least it hasn’t got worse , my advice is to get it done sooner than later , it works better then
It was done as a day procedure , felt nothing and a good excuse to get help with housework ! It really is a most successful procedure ,
I just wish I had gone to see about it sooner!

I had mine done about 5 years ago. I had sedation and the scar, less than an inch long just where the hand becomes the wrist, is virtually invisible.

But, oh the relief! I had had a mild problem for decades, but it suddenly went critical and I was living on pain killers, one small op and I could forget pain killers and a get a comfortable night's sleep.
