Hello all. Intermittent wi if here so in and out a bit.
Very nice comments from you grandmafrench. We all owe a lot to annie as our voice of reason and in my particular case, being a believer I find great support in annie’s prayers and thoughts. Each of us, in our own way, tries to support whoever is going through a bad patch. We have all been there ourselves so can understand the trauma and stresses others are going through.

rafichagran I watched the tiny creature sitting on the very top branch which was really swaying , wind was so strong, I
thought ‘you can do that and I am avoiding the garden path !

Hi all hope everyone is ok during this awful weather. Joce I am so pleased you are in Disney having a super time. Have you seen Snow White yet?.
Annie how are you doing? Any signs of your weather getting a bit better. It’s awful here in Scotland everyone is so fed up with it and that includes me. I am not much of a rugby fan although my young grandson plays (well that’s when he is not running in The opposite direction to avoid a tackle ha ha.
Is your team playing soon? If so I hope you and DAVID get a good result.
I’ve been bit stressed/wee bit anxious with couple of concerns this week. Will have to deal with them. Positive thoughts required.
Grandmafrench that was lovely of you to comment on this forum. Yes we are a supportive group to each other.
Everyone is lovely but special mention must go to our Annie who offer such wise word when needed. She just knows what to say and I for one thank her very much.
Salsaqueen my friend always says if it suits you do it. You are in demand. Aren’t you lucky you have choices even though they are not easy you will make the right one for you. (I would go for the school if it was me).

I still have the pain of the sciatica but do have a GP appointment. I seem to wake up sad, and I think every task is beyond me and that I cant be bothered, but I do one thing, then that leads to another, and then I get dressed and go out, the walking helps the sciatica and I start to feel better
I must just say that Marshall looks lovely. My good wishes go to everyone who post here.

Is it o.k. if I comment on this thread? I'm new to GN and when I saw Black Dog, I hoped that my first thought "depression" would be wrong. But then this afternoon I have read through this latest thread beginning to end. I am blown away by your honesty, your compassion and concern for each other, people just speaking from the heart and trying to find just the right words to cheer each other, in turn, as they face a difficult day or a crisis. My DH commented, as I read a few of the posts, that the NHS would score 11/10 if it could provide instant help and safe spaces life this for people anywhere just to unload their problems and ask advice of those who had shared their experiences and worse, and come through the other side, stronger and happier. For too many something happens in life and then maybe something else and suddenly before they know, they're out of control and struggling. People are so lucky if they get through life without experiencing demons and collecting a few battle scars. I could not believe some of Annie's posts and what a survivor she is. I am guessing that in the midst of an idyllic childhood, the world was shattered for a small girl because of Aberfan. What horror. I can remember exactly where I was when I read the news. Whose stability and mental health could remain untouched by that? And all that before other traumatic events which would floor most of us. You are clearly a brilliant source of support to each other and to newcomers and I can only wish you strength and better emotional as well as physical health as you continue to carve new paths through life. Keep on trying, keep on caring, just keep on wanting to keep on. What else matters? I wish you only happiness and success with your baby steps to a happy life.

Anniebach and Bluesky.... you are both right. I sent them an e-mail, saying things have changed and that I'm sorry but no longer interested. I've done this type of thing on several occasion . I think a job is good and that I'll do it, then reality strikes and it's either miles away, not the right kind of work, or something. This particular job would be great, but it IS too far I'll do the school thing - delivering meals to a school near me. (no cooking haha). Thanks x

Evening all. SalsaQueen just do what's best for you, don't worry about them, if they had to drop you for whatever reasons they wouldn't think twice about it. Just say you had another offer which suits your circumstances better. Good luck!

You thank them for offering you the job but regret your circumstances have changed and you regret you are not now
able to take the job etc, any questions use the distance or hours , they will find someone else , the job in the school sounds perfect , do take it x

Why do I get myself into these situations............I applied for, and was offered, a well-paid job (afternoons, so I can keep my morning one), although it's 17 miles away from home, and am meant to be starting next Monday. About 10 minutes ago, I was offered a job at the school at the end of my road, just for 2 hours a day, so no travelling really. Not bad money, so good. Now, how do I tell the one that's miles away I've changed my mind? It was only this morning I said I'd accept the job......

SalsaQueen yes, even after years memories stay. The winter
months are a sad time for me , November my husbands birthday, he died so young, and November my darling daughter died, January my wedding anniversary, even after all
these years on that date I think about the hopes we had, and we had a still born baby in January,
February my darling daughters birthday , my mother’s birthday, I still miss her and my husband died on my mother’s
birthday . Yes I have cause not to like these winter months but
I do remember the love and many blessings from those now dead,

nanny I agree with Doddle your diet isn’t important whilst
you are laid so low , it’s good you slept, it is said we heal when
we sleep.
