Today, I helped a 'stranded' elderly chap as his shoe had come off on the way to the shops. He couldn't reach his foot to do anything about it - so was just standing there in the rain!

Thanks everyone. I've tried to persuade him to get some help e.g. with shopping and getting about. I'm sure that he'd qualify for attendance allowance but he's too proud to apply.
