Increasingly a little ‘joy’ seems to be having a sit down when I need it ( note to self,must get fit.)
Completing a task or chores that I had been putting off,
Enjoying this present Spring sunshine out in the garden,
Seeing friends.

Waking and realising I have plenty of time to go back to sleep before getting up

Spending time pootling around the garden in the sunshine yesterday and today.
Luxuriating in a hot bath with a book.
Appreciating all the things that are beginning to show signs of life - Spring's here! I hate the winter ☹️
Being with my young DGSs, they're amazing!

Just had a full night’s sleep after months of disturbed nights due to family illness. I feel like a new person.

Today has been the first warmer, sunny day - it's lovely that the long, cold winter is finally ending.

A thread like this! instead of negative ones about what things irritate us

I work from my converted garage and I love coming into the house to find it’s empty!
I love my husband to bits but I work with people and it’s just fabulous to be by myself for a little while.
I never do anything very exciting but can catch up on GN of course.

The reaction from my boss's dog when I put my boots on and reach for her lead! I wrote a blog about it on the work website.

Loved ones, especially the tinies who bring back that sense of wonder about the world. Dogs, Dogs and gardens oh yes and walking the dogs when it is not raining.

Having access to painkillers and antibiotics when i had a tooth infection recently. God knows how people faired years ago!!!

Swimming more than my usual number of lengths, sewing a dead straight line when I'm making curtains (neither happen very often but they really make me happy when they do!).

Waking up in the morning and knowing I don't have to go to work. A G&T in the garden in summer. Self indulgence in any form, such a treat, now my days aren't governed by work and family demands. A bacon sandwich and a mug of tea.

Close family obviously. Getting a bargain as I love shopping.
