Sorry to hear your results were not what you were hoping for. You sound just like me ...stay positive, don't mix with people who say 'oh dear how dreadful' and tiptoe around you ......my own way of getting through three reoccurrences, three years of operations, chemo, scans, etc etc etc was simply to get on with it as if it were any other illness. The only bad thing was the reaction to chemo which kicked in three days in and laid me low for a day ..horrible ! I could drink only Lucozade (good excuse for me cos I love it, and am Type I diabetic and it is normally forbidden !!) ..it is now ten years since my original diagnosis, and yippee a few months ago I finally had the porta cath for the chemo removed !! I see you are on your own ...but have good friends ! I hope they will support you ...my husband said throughout that there was nothing wrong with me, I was a hypochondriac ....like youwould be, having three major surgeries .....but that is the way he is ! A friend arrived from the UK (a retired MacMillan nurse !) ...who announced she was coming 'to look after you'...this involved me getting up early to get her breakfast ready before I drove myself to the hospital for a day's chemo .....then, on the chemo off days, she announed she would like to go and visit Vieux sur Mer where she had holidayed once years ago ...ok, I said. A one hour drive, but hey ho ! Got up, ready to leave at 09.00...she was still in bed, got up at 10.00, had breakfast, got a shower and finally announced at 11.30 she was ready to go ! I was not. I said no point going now .........
Good luck ...the very best thing you can do is remain positive ! It will be a long and hard journey, but you will get there ....my step daughter had BC at the age of 46 ..she is now 55 and is fine !
