The Family Search free-access ancestry site is looking for people to sign up and help to transcribe handwritten records over a 72hour period later this month. You can do as much or as little as you like but it all helps to get more historical records digitised. More details here:

Thank you Nina for sorting out my web link! I know it tells you how to do it somewhere but I don't seem to be able to find the instructions when using the tablet version of the site (any help welcome) - it's too much trouble to boot up the computer to get the full Gransnet website .
