Do you tell the truth ?

My daughter orders flowers online and they are never of good quality, usually 3 or 4 flowers and a bunch of twigs. I know that she pays well over £30 for them. I always tell her that I love them and, I do, because they are from her.
This year I received a Cornish clotted cream tea hamper. It was half the price and absolutely delicious. Fingers crossed the twigs are a thing of past.

I would accept them gracefully and thank them. I would only mention the quality if they were in a really poor condition on arrival. I would take a photo to let them see and it would be up to them if they complained to the supplier.
My DH did this once to a company but they didn’t have the courtesy to reply. Never used them again.

If they were in poor condition on delivery then yes!

Think you just need to say thank you! Might not get anything in the future if you complain.

Several times I've had flowers that looked awful or were dead in a couple of days. I dread to think what they cost. I don't tell my boys but I do contact the provider direct, with photos. I explain I don't want my son to know as he'd be so disappointed. They have always apologised and offered me a choice of replacement. I would honestly prefer just a small value garden voucher to choose something locally, but it's easier for them to order through these online companies.

I send a photo of my present in the WhatsApp thank you message. I haven’t had any problems so far by the ones sent via interflora in France from my DD in England for Mother’s Day today.

Your flowers sound like the ones I received. My response was the same. Its the thought that counts. However I will never order flowers from BW.

I had Fifty narcissi from Scilly. I often send them to others myself. Absolutely lovely and always fresh.
This year DS sent them and they are now scenting the whole house

Snap seacliffe. The one time delivered flowers were really bad I contacted the supplier. They replaced them and asked if I would mind if they reimbursed my son. I agreed and had a chat with my son to warn him. He was fine about it, pleased I’d complained as he didn’t want me to have substandard flowers. Also very pleased with the refund . Two beautiful and good quality bouquets arrived today, phew.

My daughter sent this to me for my Mother’s Day gift but accidentally sent it to herself!!
She did however make up for it by sending me a lovely basket of flowers

I don't like buying cut flowers, they don't last long. Whenever I buy a plant gift I always buy a growing plant, so it will last as longer as the receiver cares for it.

We received a lovely bouquet from our DD for our golden
anniversary last year. I found out later my DD had asked for gold roses (as in my wedding bouquet). The roses were cream and the whole thing had wilted within 5 days. I sent a photo to the florist, who said she couldn’t see the dead roses. I was rather upset because I knew they cost a lot. Sometime after, when chatting to DD about things in general, I suggested not to use that florist again. Now, if I am lucky enough to receive any flowers, I send a thank you text with photo as soon as they arrive.

The letterbox flowers DC send are always perfect; never had a duff bloom in them yet. If I want to send flowers to anyone, I use them too. They take 24 hours to really open up and be their best but they last for ages.

I told my daughter to stop buying the flowers on line a few years ago. Poor quality especially at special holiday times just not worth the money.

Younger son sent me 100 daffodils (!) and a box of chocolates from M&S. They were lovely, but it’s a good thing I have lots of vases!

The worst flowers I've ever had were from Next. Really shoddy quality. I'd never order them for anyone else.

I got Letter box flowers from Bloom and Wild on Thursday from CD. DH thought they were dreadful but she had told me what would happen. Yesterday I had to get a much bigger vase and use the second packet of plant food supplied. They are a mixture of Narcissi and daffodils and absolutely beautiful.

I love to be sent flowers, or given plants, whatever the occasion.
I what’s app a thank you photo too. My DD also sends bloom and wild and I send her a photo after they have opened up.
To be honest, I love that I have been sent or given flowers, and don’t worry how long they last.

I've been lucky this year. I always send them a photo of the flowers with my thanks, I am grateful they think of me. My favourite flowers are narcissus this time of year, the perfume is lovely.

Luckily my children know I don’t like cut flowers so they bought me bottles of gin instead!

My DD and DS never buy me flowers, there are plenty in our garden.
This year DD gave me jelly babies and a bottle of posh key lime pie tonic water. I'll have to buy another bottle of gin to try it out.
DS gave me 800g DK yarn in a pretty shade of pink. He knows how to please me!

My son always sends me a bouquet for Mother's Day and my daughter finds a plant for the garden. They both know I love gardening so both presents are very much loved and appreciated.

I grow a lot of flowers to cut and bring into the house but they will not be ready for months. I live in Cornwall and my son found a local company so he gets a huge ✔︎ and a big hug when I see him later this year.

My bouquet was the best I have ever received so I've just posted a glowing review on the company's (small, one person business) facebook page. The blooms are so fresh.

I ordered flowers for my mother through Interflora years ago. She thanked me, but told me they weren’t great. Subsequently I would ring a florist near her and order from them - much better! Since then, if I want to send flowers, I find a florist near the person and order direct from them. I even found one in the small town in Sweden where son and dil live and phoned them to send flowers when GD born.
