Thank you very much farview and merlotgran - I will definitely look into your suggestions. I know it’s just a question of reminding myself - otherwise the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months and I’ve missed the boat so to speak!

Geoff Hamilton's 'Year in your Garden' is still available on Amazon.

The RHS does an allotment journal which is also available from Amazon. I was given one two years ago and although it's mainly for growing veg I use it for recording all kinds of garden info.

Does anyone know of a calendar/diary with reminders to prune shrubs/trees? Also planting times? I know I could look it up and then note it on a calendar but wondered if there is anything out there. All ideas much appreciated - I am a novice.
