Osteospermum

They are lovely but don't seem to last in our soil - not long enough to cut back although I did manage to keep some in a pot and cut them back in the autumn which was after they stopped flowering.
Ever the optimist I may buy some more this spring

Osteosarcoma are not particularly hardy, cut down half so that they do not get too much wind damage. Wait until spring April and see if there is regrow th if there s cut back to the new growth. If not pull out and try again. Ps there are some varieties more hardy than others.

There are some hardy varieties but we pull ours up once they stop looking good and plant more in the spring. We treat them all like annuals.

I don't think they are hardy enough to use as perennials in most of the UK.

Briwick Should I assume you meant Osteospermum not osteosarcoma. This sounds like yet another predictive text problem.

Is there a gardener local to me in Belper who would like to meet up, visit garden centres, etc.? I am not a brilliant gardener, but I am very interested in my little plot. I do try out different plants and seeds. It would be so lovely to chat with another lady and shoot the breeze.
