There’s a seaside town called Beer
I wonder if it’s near, by here
It’s a pebbly beach

There's a seaside town called Beer
I wonder if it's near, by here
It's in east Devon

There's a seaside town called Beer
I wonder if it’s near, by here

I'd rather go south than north
Far away from the Firth of Forth
There's a nice little town
Where noone dose frown
And I shall lose all of my wrath.

Drive off to unknown places
FR from familiar faces
Just relax for a while
That’s best by a mile
Life’s cards are then full of aces.

Best to enjoy life while you can
Depressing ideas you should ban
Stop watching the news
Just gives you the blues,
Or travel in a camper van.

It's pointless to wonder why
Staying young is pie in the sky
Each day as it comes

Take life as it comes, by and by

Best to enjoy life while you can

It's pointless to wonder why.
Staying young is pie in the sky!
Each day as it comes
We hope for life's suns

It's pointless to wonder why.

But the years go by very fast
Before too long my youth was past
Why is life so short?
That's my constant thought
Like everything else, nothing lasts

It's pointless to wonder why

But the years go by very fast
Before too long my youth was past
Why is life so short?
That’s my constant thought

But the years go by very fast
Before too long my youth was past
Why is life so short?

But the years go by very fast
Before too long my youth was past

When I was a teen I was wild
With crazy excitement beguiled
The whole world was mine
The outlook was fine,
I had so much fun as a child!
