Are you still close friends with anyone you met at primary school? I have two who I have stayed in touch with & we all meet up with on a regular basis. My best friend from school died many years ago sadly.

I’m currently listening to a good book about Conspiracy Theories.
Do you believe in any?
I used to be very skeptical about the moon landings.
It still amazes me that ‘we’ managed to do it when we weren’t all that technologically advanced etc

Not really. Conspiracy theories generally have no real foundation in my opinion. But I could be wrong, of course.

I'm at an age now where I need reminders of what I am meant to be doing. I use old fashioned pen and paper. Do you set reminders on your phone, or pen and paper like me? Or perhaps you can rely on your memory?

Yes, I agree regarding Conspiracies. The book is also about why people need to create them. It’s fascinating.
It’s odd to remember how many people (me included) thought that there was more to the death of Diana than a tragic accident.

Yes, I’ve always been a big list writer (pen and paper)

Yes, love homemade pancakes. We will probably have 2 each after a salad-y meal.
I had wonderful ones in America, but at home I like plain lemon and a sprinkling of caster sugar.

Do you ever give anything up for lent?

Quite honestly I am a day or so out. Thought today was Wednesday and said to DH ‘We forgot pancakes yesterday .’ So I haven’t thought about Lent yet. Perhaps I’ll collect £2 coins and give then to a charity rather than give up something. I’ll sis.

Do you buy Easter eggs for GCs and your adult children?

I still buy them for my GCs even though one is nearly 20.

If you could fill your garden with spring flowers today what would you choose?

Primroses, every variety of colour.

Do you stick to standard English breakfast tea or do you enjoy other types ?

Mostly English breakfast tea for me, I’ve tried many fruit teas, green tea, camomile etc but can’t say that I really enjoy them. I don’t mind Earl Grey with an afternoon tea.

If you were calling at a cafe for a hot drink on a cold day would you order tea, a coffee or maybe a hot chocolate. It’s coffee for me. especially in a morning.

Probably hot chocolate. I'm not a big coffee fan and mostly drink tea at home.

Do you wish you had been born with a great talent? If so what? I'd like to have had a beautiful singing voice.

I would like to have had a talent for the piano but was not musically gifted. I did have a very good soprano voice but there was no possibility of a musical career for someone of my background because of the expense and years of training. My parents would not have supported me.

Do you enjoy dressing up for special occasions like the theate ror opera? Or do you prefer things casual.

I like to be comfortable at all times, so all of my clothes are soft and loose.
But I enjoy doing my hair and makeup and I like lots of jewellery.

Not as often as I should. I have a blitz on a cupboard and some drawers and then it's a while before the next one.

What would be a perfect day for you?

Quiet, at home. Perhaps family for lunch and a walk down to the sea.

What would be yours ?

A perfect day for me is when I am not expecting anyone and can get on with the things on my list without interruption.

If you could look back on the career or main occupation you had would you change it?

If I could go back all those years I would begin as Alan Sugar did and start a small business. I would never take an employed job knowing what I do now.

I like those alone days too.

I wish I could have had a better career. But mum made me leave school at 15 and get an office job. I'd love to have been a nurse, or maybe a teacher. No, definitely a nurse I think.
Brilliant idea to start a small business instead though.

I finally found the job that suited me well. After not being very happy in banking and insurance I became a librarian. I loved all aspects of the work and feel lucky to have found something I enjoyed doing.

Would you have changed career if you could?

I did clerical work when I left school, up until I had my eldest son. I went back to work when 2nd son was 14, as a Care Worker, and did a variety of roles in the care sector, until a couple of years ago. I wish I'd worked with animals - on a farm or as a vet's nurse.

Yes - tbh, I haven’t had much of a career. Lectured for a few months, after getting my Masters. Got married soon after, and became a full time mother and wife (now divorced). But if I had my time over again, I would have loved to be a Barrister.

On the subject of change, on what part of your face, would you like to have plastic surgery? Mine would be my nose.

I’d think I’d be too nervous to actually go ahead and have anything done but if I ever did I think I’d go for a little eye/brow lift. I feel I always look tired now, also a little Botox in my frown line. It won’t be happening though!

Have you ever had any cosmetic dentistry work done?

I hate having dental treatment so only have essential work done.
