Yes TillyTrotter, I like the brain exercise.

I'm in Newcastle in our caravan. The weather is lovely, not too hot, nice sea breeze, and nights are cool.
I hope it cools down for you soon FannyC. My son in Lancashire is finding it difficult too.

Hot-hot Fanny . From mid afternoon yesterday 37 degrees,
and the same forecast for today .
I’m ‘hiding’ indoors with doors/windows/blinds /curtains closed( as lots of Grans advise who have lived in hot countries).

Tilly exactly the same as you (I’m in Derby)
My main problem is my bedroom, which is like a sauna.
I tried sleeping downstairs but couldn’t get comfortable.
Next time this happens, I’m going to figure out a way of sleeping in the garden. A blow up mattress, perhaps…

You might find a fox snuggles up to you in the garden Fanny ?
One or two visit our garden every night (we see them on our security cameras).

I want to buy a bungalow. Downstairs is cool with shutters closed but I am trying not to go upstairs - it is over 10 degrees hotter up there.
