Undoubtedly clothes. Haven't bought anything for years but still have over many.

Decor wise, which is your favourite room?

My downstairs toilet because it was the most recently decorated and has smart new flooring and a very nice new handbasin.

Which room most needs new decor?

One of the spare bedrooms my husband uses as an office. It’s horrible, I don’t go in there.

What is your favourite month of the year?

June. The weather is usually better than in August and the children are still in school.

Would you rather walk by the sea or through a forest?

Definitely by the sea. Especially if walking alone. I love forests but find them slightly creepy if I'm on my own.

Do you like your birthstone? Have you got any jewellery featuring it?

Yes! I do. It's garnet. I don't have any jewellery with it in, but I'm considering buying an opal and garnet ring on memory of my late Nan

I'm Libra. Meant to be well balanced.... !

No I cut it off with scissors!

Not by choice, but small dots for radiotherapy.

Cup of coffee.

Yes, only 50cc but it counts . I had a Honda 50 when I was 16 before learning to drive at 17 .

Do you do any voluntary work ? Or have you ever ?

Yes mainly connected with Church activities.

What did you excel at when you were in school/

I didn't excel at anything but my favourite subjects were Human Biology, Religious Knowledge and English and I got GCE's in all 3 (and nothing else!)

Do you ever feel that you would like to walk away from your life and start all over again?

No, though I wouldn’t mind being 20 years younger.

Which is your favourite town/city in the UK?

I'm very fond of Plymouth as I was born there. Plymouth Hoe is a wonderful place to look out across the sea. There is so much history there.

Do you like going through the car wash?

Great question! I actually was a bit taken aback first time at the noise etc. Always use it now after surgery and weak right arm.
Lady Diana Cooper and friend decided to go through the car wash on their way to a wedding yonks ago, they left the window partly open and Lady D’s ostrich feather hat was a sodden mess when they emerged?

Do you prefer Italian or French style food?

I think possibly Italian. But as I eat low carb, pasta is out for me.

Do you make your own bread ?

I used to make it years ago but no longer. I live along so I am not really into the chore of cooking and baking.

My gran said the best cure for a boil, abscess or spot (zit) was to spit on it every few hours. Your spit contains compounds from your immune system and I have found that this really works.

Did your grandma/grandpa have any "folk" recipes or advice for curing ailments and the like?

Loads ands loads, up to 800 lb for sake in local church.

Bummer wrong answer.

My mother had lots. With no antibiotics etc when she was a chil, it was inevitable!

I use soap now as I want to use less plastic but after using shampoo bars and getting a reaction to them it's back to the liquid variety I'm afraid.

Are you a creature of habit? Do you park in the same place each time you shop?

We have two favourite places-in the sun in winter and in the shade in summer. It’s great if the spaces are free, but not a disaster if they aren’t.

Which insect do you dislike most?

Bee... the sting can hurt like hell
