Thank you for those few kind words grannycool and Doodle you know me so well.
I do enjoy a grand entry when I can get it, and like to dress to impress!
On the night of our grand Christmas ball, Lord L and my good self will be waiting to welcome you on the terrace, me with my two excitable puppies and Lord L with his sword stood to attention in your honour...we can hardly wait.?

Labradors....we have about five, but you may all bring yours too.
Tatler, our butler, will take charge of them for you ( for a small fee.)

Merriment - I expect lots of this.......especially as the fizz takes effect

Naughtiness, Gransnetters are renowned for this.

Outrageous fashions, jewellery, make up and coiffures

Roast chestnuts ( a tad boring after all the above, but they are seasonal!)

P is peed off at being missed. So perhaps plentiful punch with peaches pineapple and plums ?

Yes, out loo facilities are a bit outdated here, one bathroom on the second floor and one in each wing.
We still have the original claw foot baths and the amusing long lavvy chains with a pull handle.Still, us old girls can handle our booze can’t we? can’t we.....
The menfolk only need to go out onto the terrace and pee over the lavender hedge ( which unfortunately, due to staff shortages has grown a bit high!)

Tap shoes.....there is going to be a talent show after dinner.
