I've just cooked cheesy-breadcrumbed Basa, with sweet potatoes and oven-roasted Mediterranean vegetables. (It's a Gousto recipe I had ages ago) Gorgeous.
DS2 and family came today and I did a turkey crown from the freezer with stuffing, roast spuds cabbage and carrots, (veggie lasagne for DS2). Then a lemon & lime cheesecake for pud. There were also chocolate and shredded wheat nests with chicks and mini eggs, which were cut up for the little folks as we know they are a choking hazard.
I have a beef casserole in the oven, simmering away since 3pm. Beef, potatoes, celery, onions, carrots, bay leaves, mixed herbs, bit if red wine and vinegar and mustard and very soon I will be dropping in some dumplings. There will be clean plates all round.
Whatever I fancy from the gastro pub menu. It is ages since I ate out so really looking forward to it. It is pouring down here so a quick dash to the front door.
