I love just about anything vegetable and vegetable soup is my ‘go to’ comfort food, but I cannot stomach butternut squash under any circumstances. It really surprised me that I hated it the first time I tried a butternut squash soup, and it seems to be everywhere these days!
My sister-in-law tried to fool me by not telling me it was in a vegetable soup she made, but my stomach knew. It came back up faster than it went down. My sister-in-law is a very good cook btw so there was nothing intrinsically wrong with the soup.
Black forest gateau, strawberry ice-cream, more than one mouthful of chocolate. Tripe: back in the student days bought some with a friend as it was cheap - it went in the bin after we tried cooking in milk & fried. Now don't eat any meat at all. DM used to make Ground rice pudding with raisins ? yet I don't mind semolina?
I have tried these and still don't like them: Marzipan Most nuts but especially almonds - unless ground in a cake, coconut - unless milk, hazelnuts and worst of all walnuts Oranges - unless it's the juice Semolina Parsnips Wholemeal bread
Just can't summon up enthusiasm for any food at the moment. I think I fancy something but after a couple of bites I've lost interest..... except chocolate of course!
Not food, but I cannot drink tea out of my own house as I fuss around with manuka honey and it has to be a certain shade etc. Coffee is fine as more standardised. I also cannot bear ice in anything unless it is very hot weather.
Chicken Potatoes Couscous or bulgur wheat it’s like budgie food Offal apart from haggis which I like Allergic to shellfish Ready meals don’t eat them Don’t eat ready prepared sandwiches Don’t eat eggs unless I prepared them The list is endless I am fussy.
