Husband signed us up for a weekly delivery of a recipe box (last Saturday, when I was asleep, he "felt sorry for the young man who knocked at the door, it was freezing and what if he hadn't sold anything all afternoon"
.
I was, like, grr - thinking "This is for the generation that doesn't cook from scratch". It is (the recipes are in pictures as well as text
), but we're now three meals into the 4 a week he signed up for, and I'm enjoying it, we've had harissa minced beef and a miso stew with butternut and mushrooms and a Thai curry. It works out to about £4 a portion. So I'm gonna give it a go. I have to log in each week and choose 4 recipes, but (unlike an organic box I used to subscribe to previously) I don't have to faff with selecting ingredients it's all sorted.
I reckon we've saved on food waste, I haven't had to do the daily trawl to the supermarket (I live close by a Waitrose so I usually shop for food daily).
Anyone else subscribing to a recipe box?
