DH is the cook in our home. He likes his traditional cooked meal early evening. I'm not complaining but I would eat differently. He's a meat and two veg man. I would like salads, jackets, pasta, fish.
I eat whatever is put in front of me and I have finally convinced DH that I only want a small portion and this is no criticism of his cooking.
I agree with Liz46 taking it in turns. A chap I know and his wife do that-he simply cooks whatever he is told to
We're not averse to the odd ready meal and we often freeze half of our meal for another night.
We do always eat together at breakfast and evening meal.
