Edible flowers

Thanks Galen It all makes sense now. I have enough weeds in my garden without buying them in packets.

Notso Is that just the leaves and is bittercress the one that shoots it seeds every where?

One of my daughters is experimenting with eating weeds, and so far I've been persuaded to try bittercress and ground elder. Both are perfectly acceptable in a sandwich or as part of a salad.

I just need some recipes for mares tail now, got plenty of that!

Sugared violets and rose petals are very easy and nice!

Maniac what/where is this T&M list ? Does anyone have any ideas for serving these Hawthorn leaves?

Fresh hawthorn leaves are nice, well, they were when I was a lot younger, haven`t tried `em lately! We called it "bread and cheese". Also, used to love sucking the nectar from the bottom of clover petals.

Did once have sugared violets they were quite tasty.. also Dandelion leaves and nettle tea..

Grace is definitely not a faddy eater

Grace has also tried most of the rest of the garden including the grass, but that makes her sick

Courgette flowers, borage, rose petals (painted in egg white and dipped in caster sugar), marigold petals, naturtiums, wild garlic flowers. There must be lots more I haven't tried yet.
