ShirleyW That's a good idea for the surgery to have scales at the ready! Mine only have them in their rooms so no pop ins to use them available.
SW and WW seem popular but I'm not good at shopping for ingredients or doing the cooking, which is why I find it easier to just do it on my own. I know all the theory, its just putting it into practice! I used to crash diet when I was young and already skinny - I used to weigh 8st 4lbs and was disgusted when I went up to 9st 2lbs! AH those were the days.... I'm in it for the long haul as I know there's no quick fix.
Billybob I can confirm your feet get fat so must also get thinner too. That's one thing I'm looking forward to as I have to buy a shoe size bigger and I'm up to EEE width, which I can get online but very expensive.
NanKate I'm going to start walking too. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis which have made me very down for quite a while, and I've spent a lot of time sitting on my fat backside (getting bigger daily!). The medication I'm now on does help and I feel I can actually do something, so walking it is. It won't be fast walking though, that's for sure, but a mooch is better than nothing
