I have a wonderful recording of Bryn Terfel singing "If I was a Rich Man" with his usual character and verve - it is so funny as he is singing it in Welsh.

Why is it funny because he is singing in Welsh please? Welsh is his first language, the first language of our family and friends. My children and grandchildren all speak Welsh, they attended Welsh Medium Schools, and all have done well in life, they live all over the place including England. Are you a monoglot I wonder or a bigot maybe?

No need to get your knickers in a twist mabon. We can all appreciate that Bryn Terfel is a hugely talented singer and often uses the Welsh language to add humour to his performances. Your children's schooling is not terribly relevant.

It is very very funny, entirely as Bryn intended it to be. Brilliant performance - he sings it with a twinkle in his eye!

Yes definitely the two Ronnies EllenVannin their songs were so clever and I loved them when they sang their own words in the choir.

Sodapop I do so miss their " Christmas shows ".It was the highlight of the season along with Morecambe and Wise.

I think it was an Irish man who used to sing about writing letters home to his mother and also one about the 12 days of Christmas. Used to have me in fits of laughter. I wish I could remember who it was - does anyone on here know?
