What is going on? I hate it when posts get deleted as I really, really want to know what they said! I shall look at the GM thread in a mo.
So pleased you've accepted your holiday offers Grammaretto. We've decided we're in the 'Don't know how long we've got so make the most of it' camp. Although we still avoid crowds. My anti-social DH rather likes the new normal. When you feel the time is right, rather than look at singles holidays, try the special interest ones. We've been on birdwatching, photography and animal tours with a complete mix of people. The last one, a safari, there were 14 of us and only three couples.
Cherry, can I put forward the suggestion of helebores for your new shady spot? We have the several shady spots and they do very well there with hostas following on. I'm pleased to hear that you've got the direct Crisis number for help with your problem neighbour. Don't be afraid to use it. The lady needs help before she gets really bad and in dire straights and the only way is to keep reporting.
That old Triumph Herald boat is still around Jan. At least it was a couple of years ago when I saw it on the river at Wroxham. Maybe it was a different one which looked the same, I seem to remember cars used to rust rather a lot back then.
We got all the cushions and seats and everything back onto our little boat this morning and even went for a chug around for a while. It was lovely, loads of swans nesting in the reeds. But I fear I may have caught Missedout's boat injury tendencies - just as I was about to step up onto the finger jetty when we got back there was a twang from that big muscle in my bottom and I seem to have pulled it! Not too bad walking around but I can't pick things off the floor, or put my shoes on, and as for going to the loo - I need a padded ring! Hopefully a very temporary setback!
