The other day, for the first time ever, I said something. It was to a woman on the bus who was wearing a mask - down on her chin! - and jabbering away 19 to the dozen to a friend.
As I was about to get off, I said, ‘Excuse me, but it’s no use wearing a mask unless it’s covering your nose.’
‘Oh, I know, but I can’t - it steams up my glasses.’
‘You need to get the masks that don’t, then.’
She won’t, though, I bet. It’s about time we had the odd mask enforcer on public transport - like ticket inspectors.
While I’m at it, IMO it should be mandatory for anyone who’s genuinely exempt, to wear a lanyard. It’s far too easy for anyone who just doesn’t feel like wearing one to say they’re exempt.
