Nice suggestion Jane10, I was pointing out that there are some of us who cannot afford to eat out, even with a 50% reduction, and I did point out that I have grasped the fact that it was to help the industry, not me.
What about my poor chiropodist? (joke
) can he be given a hand out to get his industry going again? (that is meant to make you smile, not reach for your gun).
Seriously, you need to have money to spare to eat out. Even though I don't drink or smoke, paying for housing and food doesn't leave any spare cash from the State pension, for restaurant meals. I own my house and am not eligible for pension credit.
But I'm pleased you are all enjoying yourselves and the catering trade is benefiting. I'm only jealous
