My grandchildren make me feel young

Listening to the music of the 80's always makes me feel like I am young.

Listening to the music I loved when I was young , I think is a connection we all have . I remember visiting old peoples homes as a brownie and singing "Daisy Daisy give your answer do" I wonder what they will sing to me ?

Choosing my outfits to keep up with fashion
Wearing makeup
Having my hair done
Wearing pretty lingerie
Trying new adventures

Looking after my nephew makes me feel young. We play hide & seek, football and do loads of crafts. It definitely reminds me of being a kid myself.

My gardening friends who have a great outlook on life and take on outdoor tasks with vigour and enthusiasm.

Buying new make up and having my hair done

Every time I see a cat or dog I behave like an overexcited toddler

Learning new skills.

The days when make-up and hair seem to be just right,listening and singing with great music (usually in the kitchen when I am cooking)and bizarrely when I take my shopping trolley back from the car and I run with it!!

Putting on my running gear and scampering around in the mud and the rain! Riding my bike after a couple of beers!

When So You Again Win Again by Hot Chocolate comes on the radio I am taken right back to my youth club days.

Listening to music from the 60s, watching old musical films like A Hard Day's Night and Summer Holiday and seeing my old school friend, whom I only manage to catch up with about once every 10 years, unfortunately!

being invited by my three year old grandson to join in as if I am his age ....yesterday I had to roll down a hill - no problem! (how could i refuse!)

Spending time with my grandchildren and listening to music, very loud! :D

I feel young again when I start 'Rocking & Rolling' at family occasions and Royal British Legion events. I can still Jive! Even my sons say "Mum your amazing at 76!"

Getting a good night's sleep and waking up energised for another day.

Getting a bit of exercise outdoors usually puts the spring back in my step.

Spending time with old friends, like old days, when nothing has changed. still laughing and smiling like you always have.

Having silly moments with my partner, like tickling his feet or just mucking about in the kitchen, the last 40 years fade away then you get a reflection in the mirror and wonder what happened in all those missing years.
