When did it become a thing to have multiple bridesmaids (think 20/22) and a gay man of honour? 2 weddings we’ve been to in the last couple of years have had this.

15 years ago, DD2 had her gay friend as a brides-man - he sobbed his heart out! He’s now Aunty C to DGS2.

times i move on I guess. i was a bridesmaid years ago with my cousin and the brides sister so all the family connections covered!

Videos of weddings in America that are on FB, seem to have loads of bridesmaids so I suppose it has come from there, but honestly 22!! That is absurd, if you have a gay friend I suppose you would like them involved.

Out of curiosity are they still married? Or was it all about the day but not life time commitment.
