So easy to forget the good things, when so many of us have so many challenges and scary stuff and just life to deal with on a daily basis.

So today, on Monday, I’m going to rejoice and name 5 things I’m so grateful to have today!

A lovely comfy warm bed!
A family (even though they drive me nuts)
Better health than some, though not the best.
Retirement!
Friends.

Your turn.

Let’s be positive and forget the awfulness of our world, just for a few moments and reflect on the good, the nice and the lovely thanks

Thanks for this thread Cossy, with all that is bad in the world is nice to think of what is good 💐

Yes to books, presently rereading sense and sensibility, such a joy as the nights draw in.

- the grandchildren are all well and doing well
- both daughters now husbandless but not unhappy about it
- we don't have any money worries
- warm comfortable house

This is a good thread , but most of us will say the same thing - family, friends , health, money .
It will be more fun, interesting, if we had a ‘grumps thread’ - 😂
Anyway here goes :
Family
Fairly good health
Warm house

Family, of course.
A warm comfortable home.
Good walking and interesting places on my doorstep.
Good neighbours.
Close proximity to a National Park with fabulous wild places and fill me with utter joy.

My family most important.
Cuddles from youngest GS.
Countryside outside my door where I walk most days and enjoy nature.
My easy to manage home.
Health is good enough.
Books. Enough money.

My family, most of whom live close by.
Living in a country where freedom is the norm.
Good friends, some of whom I've known for over 60 years.
My smartphone and kindle
Chocolate!

What a lovely thread.

My lovely 2nd husband, I now realise that not all men are the same.
My 2 daughters and 5 granddaughters, the light of my life.
My health, not brilliant but better than a lot of people of my age.
The view from my lounge of the estuary, I love the water.
Books, I couldn't live without them.

Music and books.

Peace and quiet.

2 - Animals and nature!

3 - PG Tips! I can't and won't get through every 24 hours without at least 4 mugs of it!

4 - My job! I'm 61, still working f/t!

5 - Health! I seldom have anything dramatic happening and am in good shape for an old 'un!

Yes Family
A beautiful poem arrived, written by DGS in NZ and also an email telling me of his adventure visiting an island recently with a conservation team, which is now totally free of rats and pets so that flightless birds can thrive.

Friends: 5 friends helped me clear the house yesterday. It's getting there....

Health: mustn't grumble . 😂

My local community and the glory of nature.

Lying in bed at 7.30 am and hearing cars start up and pull off driveways as neighbours go to work. A slow morning start and lucky to be retired...

A cup of tea next to the bed, thanks to Mr G.

Family.
