Bellasnana enjoy your sleepover Grammaretto congratulations to your dgd. A useful skill to possess. Bellasnana I hope your dd doesnt suffer any ill effects from her bump.
Yesterday I did the food shopping and some housework and washing. I was quite lazy the rest of the day. When I went to bring in my bin, someone had done it for me already. Such kind neighbours. Later I received bad news from dd about dsils dad who has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. That's both of his parents afflicted with different types of cancer.
Today I'm having a quiet morning because, like Bellasnana, I'm having the boys for a sleepover. Dd and dsil are heading out for a meal. The cupboards and the fridge are fully stocked. Enjoy your day all.

Good morning from Jersey, we had a lovely time at Jersey Zoo yesterday, the animals were all out and playing nicely. It was also interesting to learn more about Gerald Durrell’s life.

Today I think we are off to Elizabeth Castle, and hopefully have time to see the Liberation Tapestry.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 14°C, with showers forecast.
After a chilly start, it turned out to be a lovely autumn day.

Yesterday was spent doing very little. I get up with the best of intentions, but end up having the inability to do nothing.
We will be having Chinese takeaway tonight, for that very reason.
There are winter plants in the garden, waiting to be sorted, they have been patiently waiting for over a fortnight. 😞

I am stll barking like a dog and I am unsure if my new medication is a good idea. The man, with the sledgehammer is still inside my head, I cannot shift this headache at all.
Yesterday, I had an awful diverticulitis episode, which I think may be connected to the medication.

Today, will be another gentle one.
I bought a pair of wide leg denims, which I really like, but they are far toooooo wide. A very windy day and I will probably take off, just like Mary Poppins. I plan to alter them.
Maripan, I could post them down to you to fix them!😉

Good morning, it is damp from overnight rain , grey and a little chilly here in N. Bucks.
Usual local food shop this morning and we shall avoid the centre of town today as there is a food festival taking place this weekend.
I shall spend the rest of the day on my cull of the craft room, it’s coming on well.
We are out for a meal with friends this evening. DH plays golf with the chap and we woman have been friends since our children were at primary school and belong to several of the same clubs.

Good morning from a bright and less chilly feeling Suffolk. We’ve both had a bit of a lie in after a few days of being up and ready at 8am to greet first the scaffolders and then our builder to do the house painting. It should be finished on Monday . It has turned out to be a bigger,read expensive,job than first anticipated,because of wood that needed replacing,pointing around the chimneys etc.

We have an empty weekend which is a treat after a busy week of socialising. DS may drop in with DGD1 who returns to university next Sunday for her 3rd year. DGD2 starts her 5 year vet med course next Saturday after Freshers’s week and I realised how this generation of the family is growing as DD1 is planning a family get together in the October half term and these 2 won’t be there.

They have been completely renovated since they were created in the early 1900's by the late Christies of Cowden who commissioned a famous Japanese gardener to design and build them. They subsequently became run down over the years, until Colonel Robert Stewart initiated their restoration. They are a splendid sight now, albeit commercialised.

This will be a strange experience as we used to live adjacent to the gardens, where our DC were permitted by the Laird of Cowden, Lord Lt. Colonel Robert Stewart, to camp there overnight, provided they respected the land and took away anything that did not belong there.

Many happy memories for me and the DC, but although they are in the same situation, the old-world charm and abandonment had a beauty of its own which is now dampened by commercialism. It does give others the chance to experience its beauty though, and for that I am grateful.

Good morning from Stockport.
Although yesterday started chilly, it did warm up ,so much that one of the men working on the decking took his shirt off, I suspect it was due more to the hard work than the temperature.
The decking is lovely but much bigger than I thought it would be, I shall get used to it.
Today they work on the Indian stone path which is going on a curve from the conservatory to the decking which is at the end of the garden which gets the sun in the afternoon.
I am going to have to get used to a garden looking very different, I don’t know if my H would have approved, he loved his garden and the lawn which is going to very reduced in size.

I opted out of the birthday get together last night, I sent apologies and wine, I have decided I am too old to be out at night, sad but realistic.

Good morning everybody from Ibiza where I’m just savouring my second cup of delicious coffee with my breakfast.

My cabin bag is packed and I’m good to go. The summer is over for me and it’s time to go home again. Actually I’m looking forward to being back.

This trip has been cathartic for me and I’m so glad I achieved this extra add on by myself. Being in control gives you confidence as my retired nursing friend always says.

I’m gettting a bus to the airport as
One leaves every hour from the square here. It takes an hour but I’ve plenty of time my flight isn’t until 3pm. It’s only €5 too as against the €50 I paid in a taxi on arrival - such good value! 😁

A late good morning from Morecambe Bay where torrential rain has kept us from walking CDog. He hates the rain and is curled up in a tight ball pretending to be fast asleep. Hopefully it will ease off a bit and we can get out. There’s no Saturday empty for me as DH’s leg is still troubling him. He saw the Physio yesterday who admitted he has no clue what’s going on and has asked the doctor to order an MRI scan. DH is trying to keep walking but I don’t trust him not to fall over if his knee collapses, which it’s doing regularly at the moment so we are walking together or I take CDog by myself.
The good thing is I’ve already prepared lunch and got CDogs home cooked food in the slow cooker. Take care everyone 🌸

Lovely day yesterday, it rained a lot in the night , but it is looking better for our Fair day , a friend is demonstrating her soda bread skills , so I’ll make my way accross the square to see how she is doing
I’m scunnered waiting for our new greenhouse , a part has gone missing , so I’ve lost my slot
The living room is still full of tomato plants . My son pointed out that I don’t grow them to sell , he says it’s my hobby , and he is right . I’ll only grow the ones I like next year and not accept gifts of stray varieties
